Accessibility

Chestnut School of Herbal Medicine is committed to making our website as accessible and usable as possible, thereby ensuring equal access to course information and educational resources for all our students.

We are in the process of updating our website in order to meet the standards set forth in Section 508 of the Web Content Accessibility Guidelines and the recommendations from the federal government.

We are currently auditing and updating all website pages and course materials to ensure the following:

  • Sufficient web page color contrast
  • Sufficient information in text, without the use of color
  • Images containing alternative text
  • Downloadable text and audio files for videos
  • Links with descriptive names
  • Mouse and keyboard navigation options
  • Proper text resizing
  • Proper tags on headings

At the conclusion of our audit and remediation, we will perform assistive technology testing to continue to assess and correct accessibility within our website and course materials.
