CHUCK MARSH is a cultural evolutionary and an experienced permaculture teacher, consultant, designer and nurseryman. Chuck took the third permaculture design course Bill Mollison ever taught in North America in 1981 and has been teaching permaculture design courses since 1991. He received the Permaculture International Service Award in 1995 for his contributions to the movement. Chuck is a co-founder and co-designer of Earthaven Ecovillage, near Black Mountain,NC, where he lives off the grid, cultivates abundance, and serves future generations as a permaculture nurseryman with Useful Plants Nursery, as well as through his design practice, Living Systems Design, and by teaching workshops and classes in permaculture, edible and ecological landscaping, and the cultivation of edible, medicinal, and useful plants.
