Weekend dates for 2011 are posted below:

This program offers the student a strong foundation in traditional and medical herbalism. It is designed for the individual who wishes to learn more about herbal healing in the context of healing oneself or helping family and friends. This course is also a solid introduction to the world of Green herbal medicine and may be a beginning step for the student who is considering more advanced studies.

The Roots of Herbalism is designed in the tradition of experiential or hands-on learning and is conducted in the gardens of the school and in the National Forest. Each student will create an herbal medicine chest from herbs grown in the gardens or ethically wildcrafted as a group.

Journeying through the cycles and rhythms of the Earth's changing seasons, we celebrate our connection to the land and the plants that give us life. This course fosters life-long relationships with the plants that nourish, heal, house, and provide for us in so many ways. We offer the Roots of Herbalism in gratitude for their teachings and blessings.
